I need to make a real cut and shot the result and from this png make a texture ?

Alessandro,
I have had success using images as bump maps to simulate threads in PW w/out having to cut them. Choose the face that you want to be threaded and apply a brushed steel or similar appearance; edit the appearance and access the advanced options; under Surface Finish, choose "From File" and browse to a file that looks like a thread (I have used the "neon.jpeg" that comes with SW as a studio texture; you can find it at ...\SolidWorks\data\Images\textures\pattern\neon.jpg). Adjust the Amplitude to your liking and check the "Use Material scale and mapping", then go the mapping tab to adjust the image on your surface.
I have attached a lo-res image that uses this technique for the base of the sink that allows it to be adjusted for height.
It might not be perfect for extreme close-ups but it should be able to add some realistic "background noise" to an image. I hope this helps.
Cheers
The answer to this for anyone else looking for an answer like I was, is in SW2011 there is a thread pattern under miscelaneous/patterns in the appearances pane of SW with photoview. it seems to be of a thread of about 32 threads so you have to scale it appropriatly, and it's only of a silvery materal, so any other material you need to find the png file and modify it for yourself.
Also at the moment these will not render . yay!. it's a know problem and is apparently fixed in SW2012A1 see SPR 551269
It would be really nice if SW intruduced layered textures like other rendering packages, so the colour and bumpmap were seperate. Even better if applying a cosmetic thread automaticlly applied a correctly scaled appearance which picked up the colour of the selected material
