Does anyone have experience with validating orthotropic
porous media in FloWorks? I believe it is possible to use
orthotropic or axisymmetrical porous media to model shell tube
bundle pressure drop.
However, I have been experimenting with the porous media option and note that it does not seem to behave as I would expect. In other words, set constants A & B and change porosity for a given model which impacts velocity. Since resistance is directly related to velocity dp/dx = AV^2 + BV I would expect higher pressure drop with increasing velocity, but this is not what I am seeing??

i also have posted a question but no answer until now
