trying to make my life easier with the offloaded simulation of 2017 and not having any success. Going thru the trouble shooter and it seems I need to have a domain network which means I need a server. Not looking good for this working for me.
SPR 987389 "Add support of Offloaded Simulation for non-domain network types such as basic 'Work network' and 'Private network' workgroup environments"
Now to wait on the solution.
Would this cover use with home licenses as well? I would like to have time to learn and play with Simulation (or routing for that matter) but am unable to spend time on it at work.
no idea. comment on the SPR and see what happens.
Requiring a domain kills it for us also. It's a big disappointment. Changing our company's network setup to accommodate the tool just isn't going to happen.
I have the same issue, I tried using the homegroup instead to see if it tricked solidworks into thinking that I was on a domain network. No luck. Please fix this so it works more like the flow simulation Offloaded simulation. That function works great.
