Show Parts and Assemblies in Non-Indented BOM

I am trying to create a BOM that shows every part and qty. A parts only BOM is suitable but a number of our parts are drawn as assemblies as that is how they are purchased. Assemblies are excluded from the parts only BOM so a number of items are missing.

 

Is there any way to modify a BOM to show every part  AND assembly in a non indented format? Alternatively is there a way to have an assembly show up in a parts only BOM?

Correct Answer

Yes, go to the configuration properties of your assembly and set "Child component display when used as a subassembly" to hide.  Then the assembly will be displayed as a single part in a parts only BOM.

Outcomes
