Hi Scott,
Thanks for your reply. My problem is in actually setting up the render to render out a sequence of still images (using the turntable option in the tenderer), which seems to have changed for 2017. I used to be able to uncheck" the movie option and just set uip the renderer to render out the sequence while setting up the format (.psd, .tiff, .png, etc...).
Hi all,
this looks like a bug indeed. The logic should actually be the other way around. If you decide to render additional passes, you may not create a movie. However, the UI currently actually prevents you from unchecking that.
I believe this may have been introduced by us integrating the Render Profiles.
Anyhow, it is not intended, and we will follow up internally to provide a solution as fast as possible.
Hi Michael,
Rather than rebuilding the scene, can you try a new project and see if you are still getting the same issue? Can you please list the exact steps to reproduce this issue? Thanks.
I don't think this is the issue you are experiencing, but good to capture this on the thread for other users.
Before kicking off a Turntable render, it's always best practice to make sure your 3D model is centered in the Camera. This will make your model spin directly in the center, and not seem wonky or get clipped by the ends of the Viewport.
To center your model in your Viewport, make sure you have the yellow Model tool selected from the Main Toolbar and then Ctrl+Shift+Left-click on your model. Then you can zoom in as desired.
You can test to make sure your model won't be clipped by the Viewport by scrubbing through the 'Longitude' slider.
Clear your Passes setting first and you should be able to uncheck
Just tested and works
EDIT : I noticed from you screenshot that you had a beauty pass as well as floor shadow this would have been set from the Render Options Tab
seems to have caused an issue with the Turntable Options as you cannot have Passes if you are creating an animation and Create Movei is selected by default when you create the turntable.
you can set you passes afterward after unchecking the Create movie option
Hi Michael ,
I have just tested this and it appears to be a bit wonky on my end as well , it doesn't seem to be rotating about the center of my model although it shows fine in the preview and in the animation if rendered out.
let me know if this is the behaviour you are experiencing
I have not had a chance to try and reproduce in Visualize 2016 but it seems like a bug to me
hopefully Bastian Krueckeberg or Brian Hillner can confirm if this is indeed a bug and whether they were able to fix it in Visualize SP1 which I imagine is around the corner.
