The preview image shows the 3D model that I want to be able to view, but when I open it in the application it is completely blank. Any ideas on how to fix this issue?
Also when I tried opening the same sldprt in the viewer on my Mac it said that it couldnt open as files newer than 2015 cannot be opened. Is this a similar issue?
Thanks.
Dave Quadcopter,
We are having similar issues with the viewer in Mac OS. Yesterday I posted a question to the boards hoping for a response from the company (not surprisingly, no one from the company has responded). Here's what I asked:
"We now see an error message that eDrawings Viewer "can not open files created before Solidworks '97 Plus". The files we're trying to view are all from 2015 and opened just fine before our upgrade to Sierra. Hoping to confirm that this is a known issue and not something simple that we might be overlooking? Any help appreciated.
ADDENDUM: I should add that we used the viewer successfully in September of this year (2016) to view these same files but were running an earlier OS."
So can I ask you Dave Quadcopter - are you able to open 2015 files but not newer files or can you not open anything including 2015 and newer?? This would answer part of my question but still won't resolve if our upgrade to Sierra was the problem because our system was working just fine before the upgrade...
Also - let me FORMALLY INVITE anyone from Dassault to feel compelled to engage here...anyone out there???
LOL
