I made some holes to a part in an assembly drawing, but do not show up in the part drawing. How do i get the holes to show up in the part drawing so i can detail it?
In the Assembly Hole Feature, make sure the "Propagate Feature to Parts" check box is selected at the bottom of the property manager.
You have to edit the part in the assembly.
You added an assembly feature. In other words, features that would be added during assembly.
Select the component in the tree then "edit component"
I would just edit my part and do the holes again to the part. Not sure you can move them and doesn't seem like it's many holes so may be quicker to just do them again but in the part not assembly. That is assuming this part has holes in it everywhere it is used. If it does not I would create a display state only showing this part with holes in my assembly and link the drawing to that. Hope this helps some.
Once you propagate the feature to the part, you can open the part and make that feature independent from the assembly. That way if anything changes in the assembly, your holes will stay.
I don't know if you're transferring the hole info from another part or a sketch part, but if you are converting the edges of a part as a sketch on another part, just a word of caution, if you delete the initial part the other part will fail... Best to go off of one main sketch part, no guessing..
Thanks Daen, worked great!
