    Solidworks 2017 Swdocumentmgr.dll registration issue

    Yoann Tiennot

      Hi,

I want to register swdocumentmgr.dll following the 2017 SOLIDWORKS API Help - Getting Started process.

      I want to install the component on Windows Server 2012 R2 Datacenter (x64).  I have copied the needed files (swdocumentmgr.dll and zlib.dll) in C:\Program Files\Common Files\SOLIDWORKS Shared\.

      Using the following command :

      C:\Windows>RegSvr32.exe "C:\Program Files\Common Files\SOLIDWORKS Shared\swdocumentmgr.dll"

      I am getting the error : LoadLibrary("C:\Program Files\Common Files\SOLIDWORKS Shared\swdocumentmgr.dll") failed. GetLastError returns 0x00000c1.

I have used at dependency Walker (x64) to check if I have any references issues. I have have a lot :

      API-MS-WIN-CORE-KERNEL32-PRIVATE-L1-1-1.DLL

      API-MS-WIN-CORE-PRIVATEPROFILE-L1-1-1.DLL

      API-MS-WIN-SERVICE-PRIVATE-L1-1-1.DLL

      API-MS-WIN-CORE-SHUTDOWN-L1-1-1.DLL

      EXT-MS-WIN-NTUSER-UICONTEXT-EXT-L1-1-0.DLL

      IESHIMS.DLL

      MFPLAT.DLL

      SETTINGSYNCPOLICY.DLL

      WLANAPI.DLL

      API-MS-WIN-CORE-COM-L1-1-0.DLL

      API-MS-WIN-CORE-SYNCH-L1-1-0.DLL

      SHCORE.DLL

      SHLWAPI.DLL

      EXT-MS-WIN-ADVAPI32-PSM-APP-L1-1-0.DLL

      IEFRAME.DLL

All these references are missing.  I have installed all VC redist I know :

      - VC 2005 (x86 and x64)

      - VC 2008 (x86 and x64)

      - VC 2010 (x86 and x64)

      - VC 2012 (x86 and x64)

      - VC 2013 (x86 and x64)

      - VC 2015 (x86 and x64)

It does not solved the references issues.

Does anyone know what is wrong?
