How can we add Today's date in Revision table by automatically using commands like"$PRP:Short-Date" ?
you need API call for today's date; otherwise , you have to manually enter the date
Hi Christian Chu,
Thanks for your reply, Do you have any API Macro for that?
I don't have the macro for revision table here, but the code is simple
dim RevTable As SldWorks.RevisionTableAnnotation
and depend what column you use for the date then, assume you use column #4 for date, then
RevTable.text (curentrow,4) = str(date)
where date will return today's date
When you add a new rev, the current date should get added. Are you seeing a different date there? Could you please elaborate more

Modified version of Revision Block Control macro (created by Matt Lorono)
When we add a new revision, B, C etc., we do get the current dated added as Deepak says.
However, our template drawing contains a Rev Table block and first revision line (A). The date and initials will be filled in as and when the drawing is released. If you have a few drawings to release at once, manually typing the date in is a boring bind. I suppose what we are looking for is the equivalent of a Microsoft Excel's ctrl-; shortcut.
I made my own revision table and then you can utilize the short date like you mention, however I'm not sure how that would work if you use PDM. I use the short date for a print date etc..
