This Locking Disc rotation is not smooth. How can it be fixed? Parts folder is attached.
It looks smooth motion to me...
Those spotty points are for contact calculation; once it's done, replay it and it would be smooth motion (see attached)
As a side note: increasing FPS would also help. Calculation time will increase though.

Normally 24-30 FPS eye stops recognizing difference. I don't why is 500.
The FPS u have is how many time SWX motion Dumps the Data in a sec (of all the parameters ) and not related to Video FPS. Generally a 100 -120 is a good balance between smoothness and system performance.
We can identify 60 fps with all these good high density displays.

You can increase frames/sec to make the rotation smooth but the file will be big
Maha Nadarasa - When I run the animation video it seems that the blue cam is smooth, but I see the pink colored follower to be jumpy.
My impression is that it may somehow be caused by a mate combination where one side of the follower (at the green arrow tip) is trying to be contacting the cam and then the other side of the follower (at the orange arrow tip) it trying to be contacting the cam - so it is shifting back and forth as the cam rotates.
You can see at the green arrow below - that it appears the parts are in contact, but at the Orange arrow there is a gap. As the cam rotates this toggles to the orange side being in contact and the gap at the green side.
Is this the part (the pink part) you are indicating is not smooth? The cam (blue part) seems to rotate smoothly to me.

Again I think it is a Mate issue.
I can not open your parts or assembly on my version of SWX.
If you are trying to keep the edges tangent or in contact in some way the parts can not move to a position past where they stop and still maintain the contact.
If you remove some of the mates that tie the cam and the follower together does is work?
You can try some other method or mate to link the parts together.
Yes you are correct, when I removed the relation added to pink disc to stop interfering with blue disc, rotation continues with interference.
