i am making a planetary gear in solid works. I am able to rotate all the gears properly but i cant fix the ring gear so that planetry gear revolves around sun and ring gear can someone help me.

You can mate the outer gear to the middle size gear

To add to what Christian has already said, while adding concentric mates you also have the option to lock rotation of a component.
