Why is this part not bendable when i make the last cut extrude? Doesn't seem to be a problem when it's not fully closing the sketch but when i want to cut the full plate it just gives me an error. Any advice? Note: I have to make these types of cuts about 30 times, so an way that takes half an hour for 1 cut isn't an option hahahaha
Edit the Cut Feature and un-check the normal cut and see if that works.. (works here either way)
Besides what Bill stated. The part will most likely never get bent like your sketch implies.
This area I have highlighted will not get bent as shown; this might be why SolidWorks is having problems.
If you eliminate the small bend area then SolidWorks solves the bend.
K,,, is there any reason you can't put the Cut-Extrude after Base-Flange. If this is done prior to the Sketch Bends then there are no issues. In my file I just reordered things (made a new cut extrude using a copy of your sketch). Then deleted Unfold and Fold with anything between. I did make an assembly of your original flat and mine and everything matches up.

Yes, that was my first thought to, but if you now suppress the cut extrude, the bend will flatten to. And if it was a 1 config only, then it would be oke. But i have multiple configurations for this part.

It is not that you need to suppress the cut extrude, you just have to model your part so that SolidWorks can flatten it. Removing the small bent area whether by cutting it away or removing it from the sketched bend seems to be the solution.
You seem concerned about multiple configurations. SolidWorks sheet metal does not handle making very different parts in one model very well; so hopefully all that changes is the length, width and height.
thanks, solved my problem sort of and gives me more intel on how to aproach it next time. Have got it working by making it in multiple steps instead of 1 cut extrude. It's a bit more work but looks like it works!
The reason i'm concerned for configs is because it would be a hell to make it all in seperate parts. (Atleast, as far as i know)
I need to be able to choose what front and back side u get on this plate and a lot of internal dimensions will change according to the way we prep other parts in the assembly. Also all overall dimension have to be editable.
The whole assembly is driven by an Design Table.
(Sorry if i make it overcomplicated, it's my first engineering internship (3th year of 3D drawing). Might be a reason why my knowledge isn't as great as a lot of other forum members hahaha )
Sounds like a fun project you are working on. Just remember, the more you use SolidWorks, the easier it will become.
Dennis has a good point, unless you have other design intent, you do not need to have the unfold and fold features. Notice by using Dennis' method, the small area that was causing your issue does not get bent
Your sketch41 has curved lines that extend past the bend area. I made them construction lines and added a vertical line as a replacement and it bends.
