Design Table Color components

I want to choose the color of components via Design Table.

This is my assembly:

and I want to color the selected component, "Stringer<3>".

So I create a design table and type "$COLOR@Stringer<3>" here:

But what happens is that the whole assembly gets colored instead of the Stringer<3> component:

What am I doing wrong? How can I color only Stringer<3>?

Also, when I open the design table again after the above changes, SolidWorks automatically adds the column "$COLOR" and puts the value "200" into it for "Default" configuration. Why?
