hello everyone,
I would like to know is it possible to create motion analysis by compressing property of a bar like complaint mechanism?
Thanks for looking into my question. yes...something like that. We can see the force analysis of a single component through simulationXpress analysis wizard. But suppose, if I would like to create a motion in a mechanism where I am compressing two flexible rod to generate that motion, what will be the procedure to do that? As per my knowledge, we can't compress or extend any component in motion analysis by giving any kind of motion or force to the mechanism apart from spring-damper. Is there any other way to do it?
Perhaps analyze the bar so that you can simulate the results with a spring (or group of springs and dampers). If the deflection is small, you can simulate with linear spring. If larger, you will need to analyze further. SW Motion does allow for springs that have higher level (non-linear) behavior.
Just for clarification ...
Are you talking about analysis of something along the lines of a "Strain Gage" or something like a "Leaf Spring"?
