Just setting up a new drawing template, as tends to happen every few years. Is there any way of showing the empty txt boxes, i.e. those that link to custom properties. It's hard to layout a drawing when these are invisible?
Check if "display annotations" is selected
Thanks for the response, however that doesn't work
Can you attach the drawing to check?
Can't give our actual template, but I'll attach a standard SolidWorks template that shows same issue.
These don't show up because they are not empty notes but the linked property is missing.
Set Annotation Link Errors to on and they will show up. BTW also notice the empty note in green box which show up fine.
Thanks again, it certainly make them visible. But still not much use for laying out a new template as it's impossible to select individual text/properties, refer image. Guessing I'll have to do this by trial and error. I can remember this same problem over a number of years, guess it'll never get fixed, as "it's working as intended"
Simply add all missing properties with same values and that would make it easier to select/edit.
Insert a drawing view with the relevant properties so there will be a value shown for the custom property notes. Delete it after you're done editing your sheet format.
