When I try to change internal dim's to forshorten, the option is not shown. The OD dim changes automatically.
Anyone have this issue?
If you right click the dimension text you will not get the "Foreshorten" option, but if you right click the leader you will get the option.
But I have the same problem selecting both leader and text. I tried selecting everywhere on the dim, nothing.
Well that's just not right ... Sorry that didn't work for you. As far as I know that's the way it's supposed to work. You RMB click the leader or the arrowhead next to the dimension text and bam, there it is ... If you click the text or the extension lines it definitely does not give you the option.
Additionally, I just learned within the past couple weeks that you can create the dimension a number of different ways. In the past I have always created them from the origin points.
I recently learned however that you can also create them by selecting the feature in multiple views. (Pic below) I don't know how it was generated but maybe you could recreate the dimension?
Also, just in case ... I've tried the settings with both automatic selected and not selected and never saw a difference but it never hurts to check I guess ...
Free bump to the top ... Good luck with it.
I have tried all of those options, and checked settings.
I will try for someone else at my VAR. Someone must know what is causing this. Maybe a bug in SP5.0?
According to SW documents, Foreshortened option is available in ANSI standards.
Change your standard and check if you have it.
Thanks Habib. We always use ANSI.
I have tested other standards, same thing.
My VAR tried it via link to my PC, they show the same issue. They sent one of my files to someone else there, I have not heard back yet.
