I work at a foundry and have to utilize risers in many of my layouts. They all have different dimensions but, for the most part they are the same general shape. I know that it's possible to tie Excel and Solidworks together so I can just input dimensional values and Solidworks will generate a riser part based on my specified dimensions. I am just not sure how I go about linking the 2 together to create a design table.
Any help is appreciated.

Fastest way to set up a design table is to have two or three configurations. Alter configuration-specific dimensions and other parameters as needed, then make Design Table and let it detect those parameters.
From there, you can build the entire spreadsheet, including creation of other configurations.

I tried putting other media softwares on my computer and I still can't open it. Thanks everyone for the help. I have found a bunch of good videos on design tables. I haven't been able to find a video on the exact method I was looking for. At a previous employer they had an assm file that I could open and a dimension box would pop up I could input all my dimensions in blanks. Is it safe to assume this function was created with a design table? I haven't found any videos or information on this exact process.

No, from the way you describe it, it was done using macros/API. It's pretty easy to build a dialog for a custom VBA macro to have input boxes which save those to variables and then updates SolidWorks dimensions or custom properties which would obviously update your model.
You would want to be careful that the your "template" assembly would be read only so no changes could be saved to the template, and then have your macro do a save as and give your new assembly a correct name based on what values you put in.
I believe you could even just set up a custom property dialog for parts and use that to input values as well. The values would get stored as custom properties, which you would then assign to dimensions instead of manually typing in the value.
Depends on complexity, and if features need to suppressed or unsuppressed depending on values input.
I was wrong. The file type was a part file.
It would be even easier if the file was a part file. You only have to deal with the one part and passing information back to it for dimension values.
