Do I need to buy the software to take the CSWP exam?

I am willing to give CSWP exam. But I don't owe Solidworks software. So, do I need to buy this software to take the test or there is an alternative option.

The simple answer is, yes you need a copy of the software to take the test.
If you don't have access to the software, how where you able to prepare for the test?

Yes you need the software to give the test but here are few options:
1. Buy student version (if you're eligible), it is not very costly.
2. Check with some one having a license of SOLIDWORKS who can lend you for taking exams.
3. Check with VAR in your area if they are let you use their machine/software for taking exams.
