I need help with a thermal deflection analysis. I’m looking to get my results close not exact. My conditions are I have a 200°F each zone on the bottom face. Water cooling flowing throw the bottom two round holes at 63°F. While I realize Solidworks Flow Sim. would work better for this, I don’t have the time to learn it. So I’m looking to get my results close. If you look at screen shot 1, I can only define :Temperature, Convection, Heat Flux, Heat Power and Radiation. How do I define water thermal conductivity, I wsee hyperlink. https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=water+thermal+conductivity
I was not able to send the simulation due to file size limitations.
Shawn,
What's wrong with convection? What FlowSim can actually offer you over Sim is that is gonna calculate the convection coefficient based on the flow conditions within the channel. But given what I understand of your problem, you can calculate that convenction coefficient with a basic book of Heat Transfer (Fundamentals of heat and mass transfer 7th edition incropera would be my choice) AT WORST.
