I have a drawing containing a spreadsheet of specifications. When I do a save as of the drawing to dxf format & open it in e-drawings the table goes missing. Please help.
Sounds like an installation issue then Avinash. I would suggest a clean install. http://www.javelin-tech.com/main/support/pdf/reinstall.pdf
Try to save it as a dwg - you can use the free www.draftsight.com to open the dwg or dfx files, similar to AutoCAD
It is a client requirement to save it in dxf.
Understand - but you could save it as a dwg and then use Draftsight to open and save as a dfx, I know it's another step but I would try it.....
Even if I save it as dwg the table still goes missing/ deleted from dwg. Is there any settings that need to be changed?
Which version of SW you on? Is the BOM on a printable layer?
Did you check the colors like Bjorn Hulman mentions??
is the table actually omitted from the exported dxf, or is it a case of black on black making it invisible?
The table is omitted from the exported dxf. I am using SW 2015. How do I check if the layer is printable?
You should have an icon that looks like a stack of paper, that will take you to the layer properties, that will show you the document layers and whether they are printable. If the icon isn't available, go to the view>toolbars>layers
The Table is not available in any of the layers. I tried hiding all the layers in the layer properties & still the table was visible in the sheet.
Try adding the table to a layer. You can do this from the bottom of the feature manager.
Even though the table is selected, feature manager appears empty. And also this problem is happening only in my PC. We tried saving as dxf in other PC & seems to work fine there.
ok.. thank you for your help!
