I am having an issue rotating the view in an assembly. They are not large assemblies. If I select a component the assembly will rotate smoothly. Deselect the component, and the issue returns. select a different component than last time and the assembly will rotate smoothly. if something, anything is selected it will rotate smoothly.

Is your graphics card and driver certified? Also try switching to large assembly mode (as a test only to see if your graphic card has issues). You could also try going to a single color background.

Solid Air - practically i tried all the possible combination of the SW2016 system options
after some times working (5min) start this problem "lagging"
i tried with older versions of graphics card drivers (without any success)

The Quadro is not certified for use with SW 2016. Later versions of the software will work better, but I would test first. The RTX line is a newer generation and architecture for Nvidia.

i discovered that with "solidworks while bypassing the tools/options settings" the solidworks is working good.
i have reinstaled the Solidworks 2016 SP5, without any settings or configuration and without any templates the lags is present
