In short here is the scenario - we copy lots of assemblies (lets just say containing 6 parts each with their own drawing).  When we do this, we select "rename with serial number" and EPDM assigns new numbers to the part and assy.  All is good so far.

However if I go to my data card of the newly copied file, it holds the old parts number (thus showing up wrong on the BOM).  I made sure "regenerate serial number in cards" was check marked, and it still occurs.

What am I missing?  I know it has to be something simple and obvious but I am lost.  For the time being I went into the admin tool and made it so that on copy tree it will make the part number blank so at least wrong parts dont keep getting ordered.  However that is temporary at best.  I have a dispatch script to update the field, however you have to sit there and individually search for each file you copied and run it on them...........horribly in-efficient.  As I said, I am sure its something easy I am just missing.  Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
