It looks like that assembly features rebuilding algorithm was changed somewhere in between Solidworks 2015 and 2017 and now at least one feature is broken.

Assembly description:

There are two parts: "Base" and "Pattern". I want to create a cutout in Base with shape of Pattern. I create a sketch in assembly and insert "Intersection Curve" feature selecting the Pattern. Then I make an Extruded Cut with this sketch.

Expected behaviour:

When I drag the Pattern, the Extruded Cut should also move with it.

It should also work with different pattern geometry and different mates in assembly configurations.

Solidworks 2015:

It works. Assembly rebuild (Ctrl+B) is needed to rearrange the cut.

Solidworks 2017:

The Cut freezes on its first position and rebuild do not help (both Ctrl+B and Ctrl+Q). Only workaround is to open and change the sketch.
