Create Design Table. See if bend radius is visible. If yes, then you can link Global Variables or Custom Properties to bend radius and calculate the rest.
What I am looking for (since I already have a global variable created) is how to call that global variable out in the dialog box for custom properties.
So in the attached JPG images the value of "13.953" in the "Description" box is where I want the global variable "length" to be read. So if the dimensions change it automatically updates the length of the stock that is needed. How do I call up the global variable "Length" into the description box?
Global Variable "Length"
Cut List Dialog:
Need to get cut list to call up the global variable "Length" instead of manually typing in "13.953".
Hope this helped to clarify what I am looking for.
I got it to work, partially I created a global variable called "lengths" (with an s so it would stand out from the crowd). I initially couldn't find a way to use it in the cut list dialog, but it is present in the dropdown menu there. It then turned into:
It only evaluates as text though, not as a number that you can use in an equation. So you might have to do most of the work in the equations dialog.
This worked. It is already being evaluated as a number because I am using an equation of several dimensions added together to get a value.
So here is the solution as proposed by Peter Brinkhuis using the naming convention proposed:
Here is the test - Changed a dimension that was point to point from 8.875 to 9.500:
Dimensional value automatically updated from 13.953 to 14.394.
Thank you this is what I was looking for. I appreciate the help very much.
