Hello, Has anyone had any experience using flow simulation to model fluids that have settling properties accurately? I.e. is there a way to define a fluid with a dissolved particle of 'x' size that has 'x' rate of settling. I'm getting well outside my realm of chemical knowledge but curious whether SW flow-sim is capable of this or not? And if so would I be able to represent a system failure (or blockage/clog) based on inadequate particle suspension due to flow?
Check out a particle study in the manuals. Stuff won't actually pile up but it will give you an accretion rate and it will show you where particle of a given mass and diameter end once they are in the flow field.
