How do i get my Evaluate tab back it's been replace with Render Tool
I need the Evaluate tab for my lessons...
I've right click but wasn't there on the list.
don't know what happened after the crash when I was doing my lessons..
If you right click on the Render Tool tab you should have a list of tabs available which would include Evaluate. If it has a tick but isn't showing then un-tick it and re-tick it again and it should hopefully appear. I had that bug come up before.
Thanks Aaron but it's not even on the list can't tick it when its not there to be honest
trying to get it back to the list
If the lesson you were doing was related to adding a custom tab to the command manager, is it possible you over-wrote the evaluate tab as another render?
I had a very similar problem yesterday, though more aggravated missing stuff. A rollback to previous Windows Restore Point prior to most recent update healed my registry errors. This may or may not be useful, depending on your PC's routine maintenance schedule.
VAR also recommended deleting SWx from the registry, then allowing it to repopulate upon load up. I'm uncertain of those specifics, which makes that tip fairly useless. I'm sure instructions for that can be found if needed.
Instead of a blanket system restore, I had luck with deleting these two registry entries:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SolidWorks\SolidWorks 2016\User Interface\CommandManager
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SolidWorks\SolidWorks 2016\User Interface\Custom API Toolbars
This seems to bring any Command Manager customizations back to default, without affecting anything else. And for me, it brought back the Evaluate tab I was missing.
I didn't have the option of a System Restore, so this was a good alternative.
Also, once things are back, in your SolidWorks #### Tools Start menu, run "Copy Settings Wizard ####" to save your settings for later recall.
