    The convection coefficient

    Alexey Yuritsyn

      Good day!

I am trying to do thermal analysis and stuck at one spot. The task is pretty simple. There is a tube made of SiO2. Middle part is heated in the middle part with 1100 C in kind of kiln. The rest of the tube is in air, 20 C. So I want to know on which distance from the kiln does the tube have T less than 260 C. I don't know what meaning to write in the gap with convection coefficient W/m^2*K. I've read that Q = h A (Ts - Tf) and I need to know h. but how to define it if I am looking for Ts (wall T) itself? Thanks in advance
