I'm modelling up a bracket that will be curved to fix onto a piece of round timber.
The timber is 95mm outside diameter.
The bracket is 140mm x 50mm and will be curved on the 50mm to suit the 95mm post, meaning that the inside rad will be 95mm.
I've modelled it a couple of times, but when I go to flatten the plate, it's coming out at 48.9mm in length, and I'm struggling to ascertain what the best way to model the bracket. I'm assuming that it may have something to do with k-factor, or am I missing a simple way of modelling it?
