please give me suggestion how can i strengthen my robot chassis sheet of 2 mm M.S sheet.size is 1000x1000 mm

please give me suggestion how can i strengthen my robot chassis sheet of 2 mm M.S sheet.size is 1000x1000 mm.

as I searched out there are no of options like embosing etc.but after embosing when I simulate chassis for analysis fos comes out less as compared with flat sheet.

so I required a best method to strength and increase rigidity of my sheet chassis.please give your suggestion based on your experiance.

Correct Answer

Best would be to do cross brake. You can also add flanges (hem would be better) to the outer edges

  this is my chassis design.load on chassis base is 50 kg and load on blue sheet is 50 kg .so total load on chassis is 100 kg.during static analysis fos coming out 0.1 .I used hem with flanges.
