No - don't totally trust the software to give you an absolute perfect model for production purposes... Ok for clearances and visuals
If it's mine, then it's right. Nearly everyone else is wrong.
Draw lines perpendicular from the involute from points on the involute. The tangent of any and all these lines should be the base diameter.
You can do this to check the contact angle at the pitch diameter.
