I have a part that is transparent, not in an assembly, just by itself, and cannot turn off the transparency. No material is set. In the color dialog box in the Color/Image tab the pull-down with Transparent, Dull, etc. has no effect. In the Illumination tab I slide the transparency all the way to zero it is still transparent but less so. How do I turn off the transparency?
Try going to your Bodies (or cut list) folder at the top of the tree, expand it all the way down to the body, right-click, and choose "Change Transparency" from the drop-down (you might need to click on the double arrows at the bottom of the drop-down to get it to show).
I don't have any folders at the top of the tree other than History and Annotations. I right clicked on the features in the tree and Change Transparency is not toggled on.
Right click in the feature tree and select 'Hidden Tree Items.....Hide/Show Tree Items'. Change the 'Solid Bodies' value to show. Then try what Glenn suggested.
I toggled that setting and that's not it.
If the part is opened on another computer it is not transparent, so I'm guessing it is a setting not associated with the part.
Possibly your video card and/or video card driver. What does SOLIDWORKS Rx say about your setup?
I recall seeing some like this before - shut down SW and open again and back to normal - seems like the system used all the memory and needed refreshing !
Tried rebooting but it has the same issue. Looks like video card limitation.

Hmm, the video card may be the issue. The problem is on a laptop not necessarily designed for CAD and other parts opened on it have the same issue. I'll have to look into that and get back to you.
