when section view alters and drawing updates, hatching is difficult or impossible to select or alter or delete
A hatch filter would be brilliant!!!!
You could always use the selection filter ... I feel your pain. Sometimes trying to select the hatch will give you every line and feature behind the section before it will select the sectioned face. (Assemblies are even more fun) The little green "Face" toggle should be just the ticket.
A misunderstanding I think , I can select the faces with filters, no problem.
after the hatch is applied, if I change the section view or model face, the hatch will not always update, and it its hard to select the hatch to edit or copy property's, or even delete, the hatch itself is really difficult to select once it is in the drawing.
The hatch is in your System Properties under Drawings-Area Hatch/Fill and is tied to the material.
Do you have anything that you could post up here? Possibly list what SW version and SP you are running? (Maybe it's release related or something along those lines) I'm having trouble trying to replicate not being able to pick the hatch pattern. Honestly, once you've selected the face filter tool you should be able to simply click any face with a hatch pattern and edit at will.
It might sound crazy to ask but you do have the feature manager tree on screen correct? If it were hidden to gain screen space that's probably the only thing I can think of that would hinder editing the hatch patterns at will.
With the feature tree ... (Area Hatch/Fill dialogs pop up to edit/modify)
Without the feature tree ... (Nothing pops up because it's hidden)
My problem is when i turn off auto hatching and custom hatch the faces myself, If I change the component or the section view, that is when i have the problem,
If you RMB the view, there is an option to"Reset Sketch Visibility".
I see this bug sometimes for hatches of hidden parts. Select any other hatch, go to the section scope tab and without changing anything close the dialog window again. That usually refreshes the view. Maybe that works.
this seems to work 80% of the time
