pack and go fails to write to redirected folder

i am trying to pack and go my project to my "my documents" folder which is a redirected folder on our network. this always fails saying "folder does not exist or you do not have write permissions on this folder"

the process is writing a 0 byte temporary file to the location so i must have write permissions. i can create new files and folders in the target folder through windows file explorer. i can run pack and go successfully to the C:\temp\ folder.

is there a problem with the software trying to write to redirected folders?
