Is PhotoWorks Dead for 2010?

Just a friendly request to the SolidWorks Team.

If PhotoView will replace PhotoWorks in the next release, it would be great if you could tell us ASAP.

As a SolidWorks customer for many years, I've noticed that when there is lack of (or no) development on a particular add-in or feature, it usually means there is something different coming to replace it (e.g. Animator, SolidWorks Explorer, Excel BOM, etc). I see the same pattern now with PhotoWorks, so I'm concerned.

Hopefully, the reason to know as early as possible are obvious (investments in training, books, literature, etc).

As a side note, I would like to add that the current rendering engine (Mental Images/Ray) has serious quality problems with respect to Indirect Illumination. I don't know if this is a limitation of theirs, or settings we need access to or what. But there is a real problem with so called 'artifacts' that many of us post about.

I'm looking forward to any feedback you can provide.
