Adding trim stock to sheetmetal cone

I am having trouble flattening a cone after I add trim stock to both ends. Is there a way to add trim stock to a sheetmetal part? I need 3" each side straight length. The cone is a 72 deg segment of a full cone, material 1.0625" thk. I have tried to save a seperate configuration to add the trim stock for nesting/cutting. Take a look...
