Hello, I'm working on a project for my thesis and I'm trying to make these parallel circles but can't find how, one solution I thought of is drawing parallel planes. Is there any other way i can draw this? Thank you for your time!
I think you're already on the right path ... Just use a number of offset reference planes and it should be very straight forward ...
That's the beauty of SW ... Multiple different ways to go about almost everything ...
This is about 5 minutes worth of playing around with offset planes ...
There is a test hanging on the final thesis - come on, don't make it too easy lololol
Thank you very much
One plane thru the center and revolved cut.
There are any number of ways, some easier than others. If you revolve the original part around the center then you can either draw on one of those planes or offset new plane(s) to extrude/revolve this feature.
No need to create extra offset planes, just use the Offset option when creating the cut
or use a Cut-Revolve
You can create a perpendicular axis on the surface using a 3D-sketch point on the surface with a "reference axis" through point and surface. After that you can use the sketchpoint, axis and planes through the axis to create features, revolve or extrude.
Make as many as you want with a linear pattern
ps The direction for the pattern Axis<1> is the tempoary axis, you will probably have to turn this on so you can see it
Thank you very much, the images were really helpful
