I'm not sure why, but it seems like every time a get a file that was created on CATIA V5, there seems to be problems with the geometry.
every time I get customer parts like this, the planes (top/front/right) of the part itself are correctly aligned, but the faces of the part are off by usually some ridiculously small angle (0.00000459° for example).
Is there any way to force the alignment of these minuscule angles to be parallel with the plane they're supposed to be aligned with?
If that's not possible, is it possible to fool SolidWorks to think it's parallel with the plane/ignore the small angle?
The time it becomes the most frustrating is when I am mating parts to faces and they wont align correctly.
Thanks for any help.
Josh
I often have this problem but with geometry brought in from 3d Scans. Planer surfaces will show .003 degree off perpendicular or parallel and it's frustrating to have no easy solution for working around this.
