Trying to delete mates so i can move a part, but wont let me delete mates! Very irritating!!!
Any insight will be helpful... Thanks!
Does the part have a (f) in front of it in the feature tree, if so RMB and select Float.
Trying to diagnose an issue is always screwed if there are no files or pictures, is there a window open and hidden that is behind the main SW window, or the parts could be part of another assembly or configuration somewhere else.
Were you ever able to solve this issue? I had the same quirks in 2016, we just updated to 2017 sp5 and I have this same issue.
I go to delete a mate, there is obviously some window that is not showing for me to acknowledge, and locks everything up until I hit escape.
Frustrating... more frustrating because I had the same quirks in 2016 even after a few installs trying to eliminate the issue.
There are two methods I know of to delete Mates: right-click and choose "Delete" from the drop-down, or left-click and Delete key on the keyboard. Have you tried both methods?
Third method might be to delete the part and re-insert
Yes. I'm resetting my registry and seeing if that resolves my issue. Didn't think to try this prior.
Is this a consistent problem across all assy's or just the one?
Can you post a sample assy (complete with parts)?
Make sure the Delete key is still associated to the Delete function.
