Does anyone know a quick way of creating the effect of mirroring smart parts?

Unfortunately the mirror feature doesn't allow you to select them...

I have some cabinet hardware (such as hinges, plinth feet, and mini-fix fixings etc) that when I bring them in, it creates holes and adds the required fixings.

I can use a linear pattern to create instances, but this isn't as elegant a solution.

Perhaps a sketch pattern?
