I downloaded and installed the eDrawings from the website on my new smoking hot Windows 10 PC.
When trying to load a .easm file it says 'future version required'.
Why?
The version offered is only 2014 (odd on its own) with no links to download 2016.. I downloaded what they offered but its not the latest ver??
Ideas?
How do I get 2016? .. or at least load my .easm file?

Dropdown does not exist for me...
it will directly download the latest version with this link. no issues cheers...

There is an issue with the website if you copy and paste the link, it will take you to a download for 2014 instead:
You could try going straight through to the download page from a google search for instance and see if this works correctly to download the 2016 version?
Exactly is the case, it seems the web developer linked incorrect URL for the downloads, and the issue can be observed. Try downloading from google search or else eDrawings in your setup Mediakit.
All you should need to do is go directly to solidworks website and select downloads.
I hope that the issue is resolved by now.
Got it to work but .. but geez guys... at least name the file with the version or add a version dropdown choice for every browser version.
If you are new (like me) and pulling your hair out (like me) trying to do the most basic thing like download the latest version of an app then take heed. Here is a screenshot of what options for version come up = NONE. (see screenshot 1).
Click this WINDOWS link (and then there is no dropdown for version choice...) (see screenshot 2)
I do not have SolidWorks but have contractors who have sent me design files to approve.
When you went to the downloads page on SolidWorks.com, did you select 2016 or were you not offered a selection? If not, how did you access the SolidWorks download area? What version of SolidWorks do you have installed on your computer?
