?I have tried to place a weldment cutlist in a drawing. Insert>tables>...but the Weldment Cutlist is Ghosted??? Suggestions?
What version of SolidWorks? Does you part have a cutlist in it?
SW 16 SP4.0
I have an assembly. In that assembly there are 2 assemblies. First has parts and the BOM works fine. The second is weldments and when I try to put in a weldment cutlist the option is ghosted.
When you say "ghosted", are you meaning greyed out? If so check the layer that the table is on. Try changing it to another layer and see what happens.
You cannot insert a Weldment Cutlist in a drawing of an assembly. To insert a cutlist in an assembly you need to insert an assembly BOM then select indented, flat numbering and check detailed cut list.
What SolidAir said is the main issue here, you can't add a cut list to an assembly.
What does work though: you can promote a weldment so its part will show up in the assembly file. When you add a BOM like shown above, all weldments sections will be added. Create a new BOM template for weldments, include length and type columns and you're good to go.
I agree with Solid Air
The weldment cutlist is suitable for parts . For an assm. you must use BOM
Insert a drawing view of the weldment and use it for the cutlist.
Just to reiterate what others have said, first you need to insert a drawing view of the Part, then click on it to select it. Then you should be able to insert a cut list. Just like you can't insert a BOM without a drawing view of the assembly.
