I want to actually see the crossbreak in my model. I am trying to make a drain pan. Is there a good way to do this? I have tried sketched bends, but its messy.
The screen shot is a "shelled" version of what I am generally looking for. I would like the "break" (near hole) to be 1/4" deeper.

Here is as far as I've gotten with it. Would like something similar to the bottom screen shot.
As far I know the cross break is not a geometric entity and does not alter the geometry of the part.
You add it to provide the information needed to create the cross break during manufacturing.
The issue is, we outsource both laser cutting of the material and forming of the metal to two different places. Neither of which can just "add" material. Hence the reason I would like to model it accurately, since I am really looking for more than just a "break", but I want a definitive slope to the hole.
So you are trying to create a hopper for dripping. Then you will need to model that area separately. I would suggest you solving the problem with multi body sheet metal.

The cross break feature doesn't do anything physically to the model. Basically you have to put your specs in the drawing.
Use forming tool to create cross break.

I was trying to duplicate your method without success. I finally figured out why. You have to add the folder that the forming tool resides into the Design Library, then RMB on that folder in the Design Library & check the Forming Tools Folder box.
I had to make the forming tool slightly smaller than the surface, otherwise the subsequent flanges would not work, nor would the flat pattern.

You could probably find a way to do this. But you would not be able to flatten it.

We just put the part in the press brake and did small increments of forming depth until we got what we wanted. Usually there were pieces of drop we used to get it dialed in. Sheet metal can be real finicky especially on low angle bends.
I mean a SolidWorks forming tool feature. I think that's the answer to create the physical cross-break in a solid model. Make a forming tool by lofting a rectangle to a point.
I think I tried that before....it's been a while. If I remember, it had to be offset from the outside rectangle. (Small flat around the perimeter)
If you really want to show it. 1 configuration for the flat pattern. 1 configuration removing faces and creating a loft for visual.
