Problems with no penetration contacts in pin connection

    Marcus Björling
I get extremly high stress when I use no penetration contacts between the stand(which is 2 mm shell) the bigger solid rod and the solid pin. A force is applied trough the rod down on the pin.

Maximum stress in the rod is: 8,8e+009 N/mm2
Maximum stress in the pin is:17,3e+009 N/mm2

When I use a bonded contacts I get totaly different stresses:

Maximum stress in the rod is: 1,05e+008 N/mm2
Maximum stress in the pin is:1,74e+008 N/mm2

Any ideas on this one? I thought the no penetration contact was the most realistic one to use in this case.
