Is it possible to delete individual lines on a drawing?
Although the lines accurately represent features on the model, I want to delete some lines on the drawing to make a few things more clear for the shop floor.
I think in AutoCad this is called "exploding" where the individual lines are disassociated from the main drawing. (Not exploding as in an exploded view of individual parts in an assembly.)

Lines can be hidden.
If your model features are not merged you can hide bodies in a view.
right click on line you want to hide and select icon (on top menu) shown circled in red below and line will be hidden.
Wow, that's even better. Haven't seen that one before. So much better than changing the color.

You can also left-click on a drawing view with nothing else selected. You'll get that same toolbar. You can select the same icon, then go along selecting edges to hide. Right-click when you're finished.
IMPORTANT - make sure you are selecting in the "drawing view" (the red dashed lined box), I found that out with Glenn's help.
Select line, RMB, "Hide". Use this all the time. Kelvin Lamport has already mentioned this.
I'd better add notes instead of deleting lines on the views
Beside, the lines are from 3D model, how to keep them update in the future once they are deleted?
When you update the model, the lines come back.
Exactly, then it'd confuse the guys on the shop floor again - so I recommended to add a note or something else instead of deleting the lines
But, Bill asked how to do it! He didn't ask anybody's opinion if he should or shouldn't show the lines.

Totally understand Sometimes the response is out of subject
what happened here most of the time, a question can lead to all kind of opinions
it's good since one can learn few things from reading a thread
there's one more way but that will completely detach view from model. This is right click in view area and then choose 'Convert View to Sketch' then you can do whatever you want with it... Only problem is - once it's done it can't be rewerted.
Hi Bill, I am not sure that is possible but what you can do is to save your drawing in dxf or dwg and do the cleaning there.
