flow simulation 0 Pressure boundary condition at outlet

Question asked by Maria Bortot on Aug 22, 2016

Im trying to model the flow through a microfluidic channel - I want to set 2 BCs : an inlet volume flow and an outlet pressure of 0 (its just a reference). In real life the flow is driven with a syringe pump, and although intuitively I thought of specifying an outlet volume flow rate and and inlet pressure (environmental) I was told that most CFD programs require the other to make the calculations correctly.

Solidworks does not allow for a 0 outlet pressure - so, any suggestions?
