I am using SW2014 SP5.
I have used the Mirror Part... command to create some mirrored weldments. I began created the drawing for one of the mirrored parts and the cut list came in empty. I assumed that the "Cut list properties" check box was unchecked in the transfer options. I had been experimenting between the frustrations of transferring cut list properties and SW preventing me from being able edit them or NOT transferring and SW not creating them. You can have the hotdog with grape jelly or you can go hungry... but I digress. So when I edited the mirrored body feature the "Cut list properties" option is not even there? Does anyone have any thoughts on what might make SW remove it?
The culprit seems to be the original weldment. I tried creating another mirrored part from it as an experiment and "Cut list properties" is not offered as an option.
Of course there is the usual "gotta have that drawing NOW" deadline. Not wanting to manually type in non-parametric data to cut list properties...
Thanks,
Daen
Figured it out - sort of...
This is an related to the same problem I was having with the file the other day. For one of the tubes in my weldment, the ANGLE2 formula that SW auto-creates was all scrambled. Since this is not editable, I ended up sending to my VAR. They too could not resolve and have sent the file to SW.
If I add a "delete body" and get rid of the one tube with the above issue, the "Cut list properties" option is restored.
And before you ask, both the VAR and I have attempted to get the part to rebuild this tube. We have completely deleted it and recreated the structural member. Tried adding the weldment path line to a different group and different feature.
Starting over from scratch on this would be a HUGE undertaking.
