I want to toggle visibility for sketches ON while in a sketch so I can add appropriate relations.
But the option is greyed out. I can only toggle on these 3??? why?
Do you have "Hide All Types" selected? Maybe it turned itself on?
Thanks Glenn. that is exactly what was wrong.
Nevermind, I figured it out.
I had "Hide All Types" selected.
Hmmm... so why could I toggle on grid, relations, and decals??
As documented here, hide all types only applies to most of the things on the screen and in the flyout that you are using:
2016 SOLIDWORKS Help - Hide All Types
It is generally used for decluttering the graphics area or for performance reasons and grid, relations, and decals don't generally need to be hidden for those reasons.
You can see that in the menu version of this interface that Glenn shows, we place the grid, relations, and decals in a separate subsection of the menu to try to indicate this. There is no good way to do such grouping in the graphical icon flyout so we isntead group them with similar types of entities so they are more easily found when visually scanning the icons.
I hope this helps,
