This is a one of those,.. "it depends" questions.. the problems are usually the way creo handles blends/trims/radii.. so, some surfaces will get lost/missing..
personally, the easiest is/was "not to export".. but to directly open the creo part file.
..issue, they will need SolidWorks 2016..., but, if they are on subscription, the could load a license to open the creo file and save as a parasolid 25 (=2013)
OR,.. you can call up a VAR and say you are "thinking" about switching to Solidworks and they will give you a temporary license to use..or, maybe the latest trial license could work?
I advised the Supplier to install a later version of SolidWorks (PTC support tested to open the file on Solidworks 2015 and the file opened without any issues). Today I received their reply saying that they installed SolidWorks 2016 and the file opened as a solid (*.step) and it was OK.
