I need symbols of valves pumps etc.
You can import them from acad if you used that before.
I used these on a recent project. I believe they are Australian but it seemed to work.I converted all of the dxf's into blocks and then went on my merry way of doing a schematic.(Which by the way I do not miss doing at all.)
Hope it helps.
Great resource! Thanks.
Here is a whole mess of PID symbols I drew. They are in the blocks.
Is there a secret handshake, as all I can see is a blank drawing?
If you move to insert a block, you'll see a menu of PID symbols. They are all stored as blocks.
Mike, I've tried opening with Draftsight, eDrawings and even importing into SW. I have also tried inserting the drawing in as a block using the Autocad drawing format.
Still nothing..........Maybe I'm not holding my tongue right.
Open in Draftsight, then click insert/block. You will see a menu of blocks to choose from. These can be pasted into SW using control C, control v, and should then show up as blocks. I don't have them as Solidworks blocks, because I don't do PIDs in Solidworks.
Got it. Thx....
I'm looking for same, although specifically for use to create P&IDs in Solidworks Electrical Schematic 2D. No rush, as I'm not adapting to that aspect very soon.
I already supposed I'd have to build that pile from scratch or at least from DWG copy/paste, with added links to 3D Design Library components. For that specific reason, I don't expect much of a link response here. Who knows though, maybe someone else already did this and wants to share.
