Hi every body
Our company have may purchased part .
I want to assign the price of the in custom prop. for when insert them in an assembly the price is calculated automatically (when use costing )
Any suggestion would be appreciated .
Create a custom property called Cost and populate it with the cost.
I think, if I understand correctly, that he is wanting to put the cost of each individual component in custom properties and then have a custom property in an assembly that automatically adds up cost of any part added into the assembly kinda like how you can do the same for the Mass, Volume, Density, & a few others in an assembly.
I honestly don't know much about macros but the people over in the API section of the forums could probably help you setup a macro to do this. Might want to move this to the API section so they see it.
I want to use costing . in my project i have 2 type of parts :
1- sheet metal parts.
2- purchased parts .
For sheet metal the SW calculate costing . But for purchased part i have to populate manually. I see a form in the multi body template
, but i dont know how i do that
It is time consuming that i populate the price of each part in each project . I think there is a way to write a custom property .
I become confuse . Please help me ..............
Any suggetion ?....
Move your post to the Costing sub-forum.... You may get a better response there.
Did you ever get a solution to this problem?
I am also experiencing this issue and cant get a simple answer to what should be a simple database update system (supplier parts cost, extrusion length per meter cost and toolbox component cost) all in one place (or on a spreadsheet with a tab for each type).
